The Barr Seagull.

We are very grateful to the Barr Charitable Trust who provided the total funding for the Barr  Seagull.
The Barr Seagull is of similar dimensions to the Govan Seagull and was built in Falkirk.  The steel work was done by A.L.Gordon Ltd with the fitting out being done by Binnie Marine.  She was launched on 12th May 2006 into the Forth & Clyde Canal at Lock 16 and then taken along to and up The Falkirk Wheel and thence to the boathouse to have the fitting out completed.

There are a few differences from the Govan Seagull, in particular she has wheel steering rather than the more traditional tiller method and internally she has a more efficient heating system and the galley has been incorporated into the main cabin.
